Out in the Park is Hampton Roads' annual celebration of our GLBT community, GLBT supporters, and everyone with love in their hearts.
We are beyond excited to announce that this year's event will be held in the 757's premiere festival space, Town Point Park.
Why the move to Town Point Park and Norfolk? The most blunt reason is that the event has outgrown its current location in Chesapeake. Town Point Park-- with its reputation of being inclusive and welcoming all, just like Out in the Park--is the next natural home. This year we are expecting number exceeding 10,000!
This year’s festival will include our featured hostess for over 20 years, Diana Ross; with musical performances from live bands, local male and female impersonators, and other local performers. There will be over 60 vendors including local businesses and non profits, with large and small food vendors providing a carnival-like atmosphere. Last year’s event was our largest event, attended by over 7000 people.
